The Foundation Does NOT Fund:
- Individuals
- Fundraising events, charitable dinners or advertising
- Fraternal or sports organizations
- For profit hospitals or research
- Organizations outside the Greater Birmingham Area
- Political candidates, organizations or campaigns
- Endowments or scholarships
- Recurring operating expenses (unless for a start-up project)
- Program expenses that occur on a regular basis
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
Funding Considerations
- Programs that have matching or other funds from government, other foundations, corporate or private funding.
- Organizations and programs that show collaboration and sharing of ideas and resources are strongly encouraged
- Any organization that has been awarded a multi-year grant may not apply for another grant until 1 year after the final payment is made
