How to Apply for Funding

Grant requests are considered from nonprofit, charitable organizations that are tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS Code. To be considered for a grant, your organization should submit the following materials:

A proposal limited to four pages describing the proposed project should include the following information.
  • Contact name and information
  • Geographic area and people served
  • Need for the project
  • Goals and objectives, needs to be addressed
  • Activities to be undertaken
  • Changes or improvements that will result
  • Itemized budget- expenses and income for project
  • Funding sources - committed and those approached
  • Staff and volunteers for the project
  • Evaluation plans or how the results will be measured

Attachments:
  • Copy of tax exempt ruling from the Internal Revenue Service
  • Financial statement for most recent fiscal year
  • List of Board of Directors of the organization

Printing Preferences:
For ease of duplication please provide one (1) complete copy of your request, using standard size paper. Secure using a paper clip, instead of staples.

Deadlines:
  • March 15 for April board meeting
  • September 15 for October board meeting
